Kinzey Company "Goes Global"
The Kinzey Company, headquartered in Salisbury, NC, has entered into a strategic network relationship with Tala PR, which is based in Oxfordshire, U.K.
Tala, which focuses on stakeholder communications, event management and crisis and issues
management, strengthened its offerings through the development of a strategic global network of crisis
communications experts. The network is comprised of communications professionals who possess
extensive crisis communications and crisis management expertise and are located in countries such
as Canada, New Zealand, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The Kinzey
Company is the liaison for Tala’s clients in the United States.
Tala’s largest international client, red24, is a global crisis management assistance firm, located in
the U.K., with offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and New York City. red24 provides crisis management
support as well as assistance and response services within business travel, kidnap for ransom, maritime
security, food safety, food and non-food product recall and ID theft assistance.
“When a crisis hits, you are dependent on the skills and experience of the person who is on the
ground to help you. We have handpicked the consultants in our international network to offer a diversified
range of crisis communications experts to red24,” explained Andrew Baud, Tala’s managing director.
Though crisis incidents within each of red24’s service sectors vary greatly, crisis public relations
and crisis response services work in tandem, helping an organization to maintain brand integrity, reduce
or safeguard against risks, protect corporate reputations, and sometimes save lives.
“Tala’s services are valuable enhancements to red24’s existing services within crisis
management and risk mitigation. A company must think about their reputational risk and be able to
communicate efficiently and clearly, both to internal and external stakeholders. Depending on the severity
of the crisis incident and the company’s in-house capabilities, red24 can now assist with mitigating a
company’s reputational risk following a crisis incident”, said red24’s CEO, Maldwyn Worsley-Tonks.
The Kinzey Company has already provided support to red24, according to Baud. “Ruth Kinzey
and her organization will primarily serve red24 through crisis communications support and crisis media
training. However, she has been a great resource for us in other client and agency matters as well. We’re
glad to have them on board.”
“This unique relationship enables The Kinzey Company to tap into an international network of
experienced communicators should our clients need this service,” said Ruth Kinzey, founder of The
Kinzey Company. “In today’s global business world, there is great value in being able to share expertise
and having established international connections for supporting clients and referring work to each other.
The scope of what we can offer broadens significantly with this distinctive arrangement.”
The Kinzey Company specializes in strategic reputation management by protecting and
enhancing organizational reputation through corporate responsibility, stakeholder communication, and
crisis and issue management.
