Kinzey Helps Select Citizenship Finalists
Ruth Kinzey, president of The Kinzey Company, helped to select finalists for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Business Civic Leadership Center's Corporate Citizenship competition, known as "The Citizens."
Twenty finalists were named in this 12th annual awards recognition. The competition
included entries demonstrating exemplary national and international corporate citizenship
through innovation and excellence in how they address societal issues. The entries addressed
matters such as financial literacy, economic empowerment and sustainable community development.
On Nov. 17, winners will be named in the following four categories: Best Business
Neighbor, Best International Ambassador, Best Partnership and Best Corporate Steward.
"It’s a privilege to serve on this selection committee," said Kinzey. "Seeing the
leadership demonstrated by these companies and their partnerships with nonprofit organizations
demonstrates what can be achieved when companies are committed to being good citizens of this
nation and of the world."
The category winners will be announced at the Business Civic Leadership Center's
annual Corporate Citizenship Awards banquet in Washington, DC, on Nov. 17.
